Initiated during the era in which Halos clan community was only beginning to blossom, Issued by Dev Sierra 017 on Halo: Reach a decade ago, this faction of the Ghosts of Onyx is under the prime directive of a lethal yet experienced and worthy set of Spartans. 017 lead the group through the initial growth period until a successor to the CIC position was found and trained: being his inheritor, Sierra 019. Ghosts of Onyx is a secret organization of Spartan II's and Spartan III's that secretly occupy various Halo games and carry out specific missions across the clan community. Unlike other Spartans however, these Spartans analyze every detail of a situation before taking any action. Consisting of a handful of SPARTAN-II's, three SPARTAN-III teams, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and the Head Hunter units, we've been determined to set a tolerable peace within the Halo: Reach Community where ever and whenever we can, this has been our goal since day one. Influenced by the unnecessary toxicity and hatred the community had and still has against one another, 017 wanted to make a group capable of making an impact, but also worthy enough to be received and respected by others and himself. Where action would be taken, and where shots were to be fired, they'd be fired in the right direction. We aren't mercenaries, we try to be as cannon as possible. We are militarized and try to act how most of the community would expect a group of soldiers to act. But make no mistake, we do not follow most of their guidelines, as they are bias and toxic, and always work for the benefit of ones self or ones group.
We don't want to come off rash. We have a goal: set a tolerable peace within the community however we can, as little or as big. We don't want to stop all the war, for that can not happen. new divisions of hostilities are guarantied to appear. Militarized groups, Insurrectionists, a corrupted group of loyalists, etc. They mean to bring unnecessary fights and toxicity to the clans across Reach. In gaming terms, they're exercising their power in means of unfair combat and overly brutal methods that result in the disturbance of the game or consequences to those who don't deserve them. That is something that cannot be won by peace, action is authorized. But what the community does today is unacceptable. The phrase "Talk now, shoot later" is a mere term to the common clan leader, marine, Spartan, or any other personal of the UNSC, Sangheili, or non-militarized clan community. But what they do not see is that that very term is something they should abide by. To want victory by making enemies and wanting to win, will not provide your desires. With an organized, more peaceful community or at least section of the community, a great success will be seen. To have still waters provides a faster ride. To have a peaceful community set on a beneficial goal(s) provides much success. To obtain success is to grow. We are not capable of stopping war. Their will be war. But fought properly, and when it's necessary.
